Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino insists both Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld are happy at the club.
Both players are continuing to be the subject of intense speculation.
England star Harry Kane has emerged as one of the top players in Europe, which has inevitably seen him linked with a big money move, with Real Madrid confirmed admirers.
And whilst it has been suggested that Kane made need to leave win titles – a notion that Pochettino has rejected.
“We are here to develop, to help the club achieve and win titles. Harry is happy here and of course he wants to win titles here like all of us do.
Alderweireld’s future is more complicated as the club are considering selling him this summer, as he just has 16-months left on his current deal which does have a year’s option in – although if they take that up, then he would have an automatic release clause of £25million.
But Pochettino again insists that he does not want to lose the Belgian centre-half, who is attracting interest from the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United and Liverpool.
“Toby is such an important player for us. Like always I told you in these nearly four years, for me the most important thing is the squad,” said the Spurs boss.
For me the most important thing is the team and of course players are important, but the collective is so important because when you have some problems you need to win games.”
As it stands Bookmakers are backing both players to stay put with Kane rated at 1/5 with PaddyPower to remain, whilst Alderweireld is 11/10.
Should Kane leave then Real Madrid are firm favourites to land him at 3/1, whilst it is Man Utd and Barca leading the betting for Alderweireld at 4/1 and 5/1 respectively.
