Paul Pogba’s odds on making an exit from Manchester United this month have been cut further after his agent become embroiled in another row with some of the club’s former greats.
Pogba has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona and reports in Spain even suggested that personal terms had been agreed.
United have stood firm and Jose Mourinho – whose relationship is understood to be strained with the French World Cup winner – made him captain for their opening game.
However, a number of people linked with United – like legendary midfielder Paul Scholes, have questioned Pogba’s commitment, but that has now led to the player’s famed agent Mino Raiola questioning him.
Some people need to talk for fear of being forgotten. Paul Scholes wouldn’t recognize a leader if he was in front of Sir Winston Churchill. @paulpogba

Paul Scholes should become sports director and advise Woodward to sell Pogba. Would be sleepless nights to find Pogba a new club @paulpogba

Raiola’s comments immediately drew stinging criticism from Gary Neville and former United assistant boss Mile Phelan, both slamming his behaviour.
In reaction, Pogba’s odds on joining Barcelona have been cut to 3/1 by Betway.
Betway’s Alan Alger said: “There has been much speculation over Paul Pogba’s future all summer and with Manchester United’s iffy start to the season, we’ve seen plenty of support on the Frenchman leaving Old Trafford for the Nou Camp.
“The midfielder has been backed into 3/1 from 9/2 to be a Barcelona player by the end of the month and it will be interesting to see if the United hierarchy have their heads turned should a bid come in from their Spanish rivals.”
