Premier League New Year’s Day Preview

New Year’s Day sees a nearly full Premier League schedule as the first games of 2020 take place.

There are two games kicking-off at at 12:30, with Chelsea travelling to the South Coast to face Brighton and Burnley hosting Aston Villa.

With leaders Liverpool not playing until Thursday, Leicester and Man City will look to close the gap for at least 24 hours.

Second placed Leicester travel to Newcastle, whilst champions Man City welcome Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton to the Etihad.

Arguably the game of the day is the final kick-off with Mikel Arteta looking for his first win as Arsenal boss as they welcome Manchester United to the Emirates.

David Moyes’s first game back in charge of West Ham sees Bournemouth travel to the London Stadium.

Tottenham are looking to close the gap on the top-four as they travel to Southampton.

At the bottom, Norwich host Crystal Palace, whilst Watford entertain Wolves at Carrow Road.

See below for a preview on the games, including predictions from former England, Crystal Palace and Tottenham midfielder Andy Gray and our own Football Insider Graeme Bailey and bet365’s Steve Freeth.
