Premier League sack race re-started

Despite his first win of the season Slaven Bilic is the short price favourite to be next manager to go in the top-flight.

Frank De Boer and Cyrstal Palace took the dubious acclaim of being the first to part ways in the Premier League on Monday following the defeat to Burnley.

West Ham had been on a similar run to that of Palace before their victory over Huddersfield on Monday, but despite getting off the mark – Bookmakers firmly believe that Bilic is next in line.

Ladbrokes rate Bilic as short as Evens to go, ahead of Rafa Benitez at 8/1 and Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe at 12/1 – his odds have been cut drastically with their poor start to the season.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “The Sack Race has already taken one casualty this season in the shape of De Boer but we wouldn’t be surprised to see Bilic packing his bags in the near future.”
