Premier League Saturday Preview

An action packed Saturday of action with nine Premier League games scheduled.

Leaders Manchester City are looking to maintain their unbeaten league record and also their current run of 16 straight victories as they host Bournemouth at the Etihad. The Cherries could find themselves in the relegation zone by the end of the day if they lose.

Second placed Man United are looking to make sure the 11-point gap at the top is not extended as they travel to Leicester in the late kick-off.

The opening game of the day sees Everton play host to third place Chelsea. Victory for Sam Allardyce team could see them into the top-eight, as they look to continue their excellent run of form.

Sixth plays seventh at Turf Moor as high-flying Burnley host Tottenham. Victory for either would take them into the top-five.

At the other end there is an archetypal six-pointer as bottom-of-the table Swansea City host Crystal Palace. Leon Britton takes charge of the Swans following the sacking of Paul Clement. Palace’s good run of recent form has seen them rise to 14th – but they are just two points above the drop-zone.

Another huge game at the bottom sees second-from-bottom West Brom travel to Midlands rivals Stoke – who will drop into the bottom-three if they lose at the Bet365 Stadium.

Newcastle’s poor run of form has seen them sink into the bottom three, and they will be looking for all three points at West Ham,. Victory for Rafa Benitez’s men would lift them above The Hammers, who could find themselves in the relegation zone with defeat – although victory could take them as high as 12th.

Watford are looking put an end to their recent poor form as they travel to Brighton, whilst Huddersfield are also on the South Coast as they face Southampton.

See below for a preview on each game, including predictions from former England, Crystal Palace and Tottenham midfielder Andy Gray, super agent and former Manchester City ace Barry Silkman, our own Football Insider Graeme Bailey and bet365’s Steve Freeth.
