Leaders Manchester City are looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season on Saturday.
City lost at Liverpool to end their fantastic start to the campaign, but they will will be looking to return to winning ways as they host Newcastle in the late kick-off on Saturday.
Should City slip-up again, then second placed Manchester United will have the chance to cut the gap at the top to nine points as they make the short trip across Lancashire to face seventh placed Burnley.
With third placed Liverpool not in action until Monday – Chelsea in third have the chance to move back into third as they open the weekend’s programme at Brighton.
Arsenal in sixth will look to close the gap on rivals Tottenham in fifth – who are not playing until Sunday – as they welcome Crystal Palace to the Emirates Stadium.
Leicester have the chance to move into seventh as they welcome Watford to the King Power Stadium.
Stoke and West Brom both have the chance to move out of the bottom three if they can claim three points. Second bottom West Brom face a tough looking trip to Everton, whilst third from bottom Stoke – who have Paul Lambert in charge for the first time – host Huddersfield.
Should Stoke or West Brom claim wins, the team who would drop in, is Southampton – but they would not be able to do anything about it until Sunday when they face Spurs.
Finally, West Ham host Bournemouth – with both teams looking to for the win which could take them into the top-half of the table.
