Premier League Saturday Preview

Manchester City have the chance to return to the top of the Premier League table on Saturday.

Champions City are just a point adrift of title rivals Liverpool, who are not in action until Sunday – so if they avoid loss at Bournemouth they will return to the summit, although Pep Guardiola will be looking for all three points on the South Coast.

This time last week, Tottenham had the chance to move to within two points of the top of the table – but they have suffered back to back losses, but will be desperate to avoid a third as they host arch rivals Arsenal at Wembley – who in stark contrast have won their last three.

If Arsenal fail to win, then that will allow Manchester United to reclaim four spot as they host Southampton – who jumped out of the bottom three in midweek.

Southampton’s win sent Cardiff back into the drop zone – but the Bluebirds could climb up to 16th, as Brighton could also find themselves in the relegation places if Cardiff can beat Wolves at Molineux.

Albion host bottom-of-the-table Huddersfield, who recorded their first win of 2019 in midweek as they defeated Wolves.

Crystal Palace and Burnley have both moved away from the danger zone in recent weeks, and they will both be hoping to increase the current five-point gap between them and the bottom three as they clash at Turf Moor.

Finally, West Ham could move up to ninth in the table if they beat Newcastle at The London Stadium.

See below for a preview on the games, including predictions from former England, Crystal Palace and Tottenham midfielder Andy Gray and our own Football Insider Graeme Bailey and bet365’s Steve Freeth.
