Premier League Saturday Preview

The Premier League returns on Saturday and Manchester City have the chance to return to the top of the table.

League leaders Liverpool are not in action until Sunday, which gives City the chance to go back to the summit but they will need all three points from the day’s opener at Fulham.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will look to celebrate becoming Manchester United’s manager on a permanent basis, by moving into the top-four with victory against Watford at Old Trafford.

Watford could move into seventh with victory themselves, but they would also need Wolves to slip up at Burnley.

If Wolves and Watford both slip-up, then both ninth placed West Ham and Leicester, in tenth, have the chance to move into seventh. Both are at home as West Ham host Everton and Leicester entertain Bournemouth.

There is a big South Coast derby that is something of a six-pointer as Brighton host Southampton. Brighton start the day five points off the bottom three, and the Saints are two points worse off – who would move level with the Seagulls if they win.

Bottom of the table Huddersfield could move level with second-bottom Fulham with victory as they travel to Crystal Palace.

See below for a preview on the games, including predictions from former England, Crystal Palace and Tottenham midfielder Andy Gray and our own Football Insider Graeme Bailey and bet365’s Steve Freeth.
