Premier League Saturday Preview

Liverpool will return to the top of the Premier League table on Saturday with victory at Newcastle.

Fresh from their Champions League drubbing at the hands of Barcelona in midweek, Liverpool need to get their Premier League head on, as they look to claim their first title this century – but to do so they know only maximum points is likely enough at St James’ Park.

Liverpool will overtake leaders Manchester City with victory in the late game, as Pep Guardiola’s men are not in action until Monday evening.

The day gets underway with Tottenham’s trip to Bournemouth and they know victory at the Vitality Stadium will seal their place in the top-four.

Wolves will almost be assured of a top-seven finish if they beat already relegated Fulham at Molineux.

Cardiff City host Crystal Palace knowing nothing more than a win will maintain their hopes of staying in the Premier League.

The final game of the day sees West Ham hosting Southampton, knowing they need to win to have any chance of finishing in the top-half of the table.

See below for a preview on the games, including predictions from former England, Crystal Palace and Tottenham midfielder Andy Gray and our own Football Insider Graeme Bailey and bet365’s Steve Freeth.
