Premier League Saturday Preview

The Premier League returns on Saturday with champions Manchester City looking to return to winnings way.

Pep Guardiola’s City travel to South London to face Crystal Palace looking to bounce back from their loss to Wolves last time out. However, victory for Palace would take them above City.

The day’s opening game sees third from bottom Everton looking to avoid a fifth successive league defeat as they welcome West Ham to Goodison Park. Defeat for The Toffees could very well see Marco Silva lose his job.

Fourth placed Leicester to continue their good form at home to Burnley, and a win would see Brendan Rodgers’s men climb into the top-four.

Chelsea are another who could end the day in the top-four as they welcome Newcastle United to Stamford Bridge, who are coming off the back of their win over Manchester United.

Bottom-of-the-table Watford are still looking for their first win of the season, but they face a tough trip to North London rivals Tottenham – who are also in need of a victory.

Wolves are looking for a third successive win as they host Southampton at Molineux, whilst also in the Midlands Aston Villa face Brighton at Villa Park.

Finally, Bournemouth host Norwich on the South Coast with the Canaries looking to avoid a fourth successive loss.

See below for a preview on the games, including predictions from former England, Crystal Palace and Tottenham midfielder Andy Gray and our own Football Insider Graeme Bailey and bet365’s Steve Freeth.
