Premier League Saturday Preview

Liverpool could extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to over 10 points on Saturday.

Three of the top-four are in action on Saturday, but with second placed Leicester not in action until Sunday – Liverpool will see their current eight point lead extended if they beat Brighton at Anfield.

Manchester City do have the chance to close the gap and moved into second, at least temporarily as they feature in the opening game of the weekend as they visit the North East to visit Newcastle.

Fourth placed Chelsea will look to return to winning ways as they host West Ham at Stamford Bridge, whose manager Manuel Pellegrini is under huge pressure.

Jose Mourinho is looking for a third successive win since taking charge of Tottenham and somewhat amazingly Spurs could end the day in fifth place if they Bournemouth at home – despite the fact they start the day in tenth.

Burnley in seventh are looking for a third successive win as they host Crystal Palace – who are looking to end an awful run of three losses on the bounce.

Finally, it is a real six-pointer at St Mary’s as the bottom-two clash with basement side Watford travelling to Southampton.
