Premier League Sunday Preview

Super Sunday really lives up to its name this week with two of the biggest derbies in world football taking centre stage.

The Merseyside and Manchester derbies take centre stage, although it is Arsenal’s trip to Southampton that kicks-off the day.

That is followed by Everton’s trip to Liverpool – which sees new Toffees boss Sam Allardyce get an early taste of the local rivalry.

Liverpool are looking to maintain an excellent run of form which have seen them climb into the top-four, but Everton have been looking to climb away from trouble – although their two wins in succession has lifted them into the top-half of the table.

The final game of the weekend is arguably the biggest of the season so far as Manchester City take their unbeaten record to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.

City are currently eight points clear at the top and victory over United would see them break the Premier League record of successive victories. However, victory for United would see them break their own club record of 40 home games without defeat – with their last loss coming against City back in September 2016.

United will be hoping to close the gap at the top to five points, and the chance to end their unbeaten run this season will surely be a huge incentive for the red side.

See below for a preview on each game, including predictions from former England, Crystal Palace and Tottenham midfielder Andy Gray, super agent and former Manchester City ace Barry Silkman, our own Football Insider Graeme Bailey and bet365’s Steve Freeth.
