Premier League Sunday Preview – Last Day

The final day of the Premier League season is here and either Manchester City or Liverpool will be crowned champions on Sunday.

Defending champions City are in pole position, knowing victory for them at Brighton will see them claim back-to-back titles.

Should City fail to win, then that would give Liverpool the chance to win. Jurgen Klopp’s side face Wolves – who have already secured third place – at Anfield.

The battle for the top-four has already all but been decided, a win for Arsenal at Burnley and loss for Tottenham at home to Everton – would see the two sides level on goal-difference, but The Gunners would need an eight-goal swing to overtake their arch-rivals.

If Arsenal fail to win then that would offer Manchester United the chance to overtake them and finish fifth,  as long as they beat already relegated Cardiff City at Old Trafford.

If Spurs do beat Everton, then Leicester will have the chance to finish in eighth as they host third place Chelsea at the King Power.

Watford play host to West Ham at Vicarage Road as 10th plays 11th – the winner will finish the season in the top-half of the table.

Relegated Fulham and Huddersfield bid farewell to the Premier League this weekend. Fulham host Newcastle, whilst Huddersfield travel to Southampton.

The final game on the last day sees Crystal Palace host Bournemouth at Selhurst Park.

See below for a preview on the games, including predictions from former England, Crystal Palace and Tottenham midfielder Andy Gray and our own Football Insider Graeme Bailey and bet365’s Steve Freeth.
