PSG close on Mbappe deal

Paris Saint Germain are close to sealing a remarkable capture of Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe.

The 18-year-old  has been chased by every major club across Europe following a brilliant campaign last season which saw him score 26 goals, and helped them lift the Ligue 1 title and make the last-four of the Champions League.

Monaco had hoped to keep Mbappe this summer, but sources close to the situation have confirmed that the player has made it known to the club he wants to return to his home city of Paris and play for PSG.

Real Madrid, Manchester City and Arsenal all believed they were well placed to land Mbappe, but now PSG look set to follow up their world record deal for Neymar with the purchase of Mbappe.

They are close to agreeing terms on a £128milion deal which will also see Brazilian winger Lucas Moura move to the Stade Louis II. The initial deal will be a loan with the move becoming permanent next summer – in order to help PSG off-set some finances with the Neymar deal in-mind.

And the Mbappe deal may not be the only one concluded between the two clubs with midfielder Fabinho also involved in talks.

Bookmakers certainly believe both deals will be done. SkyBet rate both as odds on 1/5 for Mbappe to join PSG and 1/2 for Fabinho to follow him.
