Chelsea have made an approach for Borussia Dortmund midfield starlet Christian Pulisic.

The 19-year-old American has come through the youth ranks with the German giants, and he has been linked with most of Europe’s major clubs already.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan having been the man to sign him at Dortmund, and they remain interested.

Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also keen, but it appears Chelsea are currently heading the chase as they are ready to bid £70million for him.

Bookmakers now believe that Chelsea are favourites and PaddyPower have cut them to Evens, ahead of Liverpool at 11/2.

Spokesman Paddy Power said: “Chelsea are becoming a bit of a Sarri mess this summer – although, apparently, that’s just the new manager’s playing style.

“With the boss’s high-intensity game-plan, and his inherited squad’s ability to down tools, it’s no surprise that he’s looking to bring in young, hungry recruits.

“The betting patterns over the last 24 hours indicate that teen star Christian Pulisic is on the shortlist.”
