Sir Bradley Wiggins is vehemently denying claims that he may have cheated during his glittering cycling career, but Bookmakers have opened markets on him losing his Tour de France crown and his knighthood.

A report by MPs from the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee, has stated that Wiggins and Team Sky “crossed an ethical line” by using drugs that are allowed under anti-doping rules to enhance performance rather just for their intended medical use.

Wiggins, Britiain’s first ever winner of the Tour de France and five-time Olympic gold medalist, has insisted that he has done nothing wrong.

“Not at any time in my career did we cross the ethical line,” Wiggins told the BBC.

“I refute that 100%. This is malicious, this is someone trying to smear me.

“[Cycling] is the most scrutinised sport in the world. I can’t control what people are going to think but for some people, whatever you do it is not going to be enough. I just don’t know any more in this sport – you are damned if you do, damned if you don’t.”

Now Wiggins has been priced at just 8/1 to lose his biggest prize, the Tour de France from 2012 and 20/1 to lose his knighthood.

Team Sky manager David Brailsford is now 2/1 not be at the helm when the Tour de France departs on July 7th, while Chris Froome is 5/2 not to roll off in this year’s Tour as an investigation continues into a possible doping violation at last year’s Vuelta a Espana.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Bradley Wiggins and Team Sky have denied any wrongdoing, but the amount of requests we received on Monday suggests punters are seeing a bleak future for Dave Brailsford.

“It may prove crucial that the report didn’t claim that any rules were broken, however with the media outcry unlikely to disappear, Wiggins himself is now 8/1 to be stripped of his Yellow Jersey before the year is out.”
