Racing App for Alexa launched

An innovative horse racing application has launched to make getting the latest results easier than ever.

The app is the first to pair with the Alexa Echo Far-Field Voice Control Just Ask system which means users can ‘just ask’ to find out horse racing results, tips and more.

The application, which is downloadable to the Alexa App from the Amazon Skills Store, responds to user enquiries and provides a range of horse racing information. Users can find out what courses are racing that day, horse racing results, the time races are taking place as well as tips for races happening that day.

www.GG.co.uk have launched the first racing application that pairs with Alexa to make getting the latest horse racing news easier for users. The application works by users asking their Alexa device phrases such as “Alexa, ask GG what’s racing today?” or “Alexa ask GG what is the tip of the day?”

The team at GG.co.uk wanted to create this application with users in mind, ridding the need to have to scroll through results that are not relevant to them. Users are able to ask specific questions which relate to bets they’ve made, such as, “Alexa, ask GG who won the fourth race at Cheltenham today?” or “Who came second in the 3 o’clock race at Sandown Park yesterday?”

This application is the only one on the market currently that enables users to ask their queries instead of having to look them up themselves, taking away unnecessary legwork that has been the norm in the industry until now.

As well as giving users in both the UK and Ireland the opportunity to hear relevant results read out to them, the ground-breaking application will vocalise tips for the day, ensuring race enthusiasts do not miss out on the sure-fire wins.

A spokesperson for www.GG.co.uk commented: “We couldn’t quite believe that an application such as this didn’t already exist, so when we found this out we knew something had to change.

“Looking up racing results or tips is often a long process, with countless races happening on race days and a myriad of tips from different punters. We wanted to simplify this whole process by giving users just the top tips of the day as well as the results that are relevant to them.

“We think this truly is the start of something ground-breaking in the industry and is completely overdue.”
