A look at Friday’s picks with BetVictor’s racing ambassador Sam Boswell.
Racing continues in Ireland – behind closed doors – and Sam’s brings us picks from Dundalk.
Dundalk (14.00)
Line Judge to win 9/4
This six-runner auction race is an interesting affair. With just the six runners it may lack in numbers but has three at the front of the market to weigh up.
One of the most exposed in the field, she has very fair claims but at the prices, I want to look at Line Judge trained by his brother Joseph.
Her debut run was a fair third on her only start. The second from that day has run well twice since finishing placed on both starts. Given how unexposed she is and at the weights, I am keen to have a small win bet on Line Judge over the two market principles.
Dundalk (15.00)
Juliet Rose to win 11/10
Just an hour later, Joseph O’Brien will hopefully look to make it a double with Juliet Rose under Declan McDonogh. The 11/10 fav was second last time out in a fair race and even just a replication of that effort today should have her go close.
Dundalk (16.30)
Misty At Sea – Each Way 9/1
The final section runs in the six-furlong handicap. This looks a competitive heat with Major Power heading the betting off the back of a hat trick of wins here at Dundalk.
Whilst he would have every chance of running with credit again, at the prices I want to look elsewhere and feel Misty At Sea could offer some each-way value at around 9/1.
