Manchester City are ready to offer a contract extension to Raheem Sterling.
The 22-year-old England international was linked with a move to Arsenal towards the end of the summer window, as part of the deal for Alexis Sanchez.

However, City were quick to insist that he was not part of the deal and he has insisted that he does not see himself anywhere else.
“I didn’t need to speak with him [Pep Guardiola], because I had already spoken to him during the summer about pre-season,” said Sterling about the prospective move in the summer.
“I didn’t have any negative thoughts or anything bad about it. I just woke up one day with England and saw it, and I didn’t believe a word of it until I heard something from the manager – then I would believe it.
“It wasn’t something I was worried about because Pep is an honest guy, and he would have spoken to me about it before that.
“So, I didn’t need to worry about it, and I didn’t think about it, not for one minute.”
Now sources have indicated that City are set to show faith in Sterling by extending his deal by an extra year taking him to 2021.
Bookmakers agree about Sterling’s future and do not see it being away from City any time soon and he is 10/1 to join Arsenal in January.
