Ranieri and Leicester odds tumble

Pressure continues to grow on Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri following their latest defeat at Swansea City.

Leicester have now dropped to 17th in the table, with Swansea climbing to 15th and are now four points clear of the drop-zone.

Goals from Alfie Mawson and Martin Olsson were enough to condemn Leicester to a fifth successive loss.

BetVictor have moved to cut Leicester to 7/4 to go down following the defeat in South Wales and Ranieri is now odds on at 10/11 to be next manager out of the door.

Michael Triffitt, BetVictor’s Head of Ante Post Football, said: “Leicester City remain without an away win in the Premier League this term and following a 2-0 defeat at Swansea this afternoon find themselves just one point and one place above the relegation zone.

“The Champions are 7/4 from 11/4 to suffer relegation and  8/1 from 14/1 to finish bottom of the pile.

“And despite reassurances from the board, manager Claudio Ranieri continues to contract in price and remains popular with punters to go next.

“He is now odds on at 10/11 from 6/4 following another poor performance and slide towards the relegation trap door.”
