Romelu Lukaku is set for a medical in America ahead of his £75million move to Manchester United.
United caused a huge stir making their move for Lukaku earlier this week and news of their talks with Everton emerged on Thursday and now they are closing on a move – with Wayne Rooney moving in the opposite direction, although the two deals are not directly linked.

Lukaku was due to report back to Everton for training this week, and they are believed to be unimpressed with the striker’s reluctance to return – but it will not impact on the deal.
The 24-year-old has opted to remain in Los Angeles, where he has been holidaying with his future United team-mate Paul Pogba – who is understood to have played a major part in persuading him to make the move to Old Trafford.
Lukaku intends to remain in America, with Pogba, and then link up with United next week, as they are flying into the US on Sunday to begin their pre-season tour.
United and Everton are yet to finalise terms on top of the initial £75million deal, but that is not expected to be a problem as for a the Red Devils are concerned and they are confident he will be on the tour with them next week.

Chelsea had been contemplating making a rival offer, having seen United make an unexpected move which caught them by surprise, but they have accepted the player has had his head turned by Jose Mourinho outfit.
You can still back a team to land Lukaku with United ranked at 1/5 with SkyBet, whilst Chelsea are 100/30.
Indeed Chelsea’s odds on signing Alvarto Morata are much shorter. The Real Madrid striker is widely reported to be upset that United have turned their attentions to Lukaku instead of him, just as the two clubs were closing in on a deal.
Chelsea, who were linked to Morata earlier in the year, could now be the man they look at – and are priced at 9/4 to land him. United are still reported to be keeping tabs on him and are just 11/4 to land him too.
