Ronald Koeman is under pressure at Everton and the club have told him they expect an upturn in their form.
The Toffees hierarchy backed Koeman in the summer, spending over £150million on new players – although they did sell star striker Romelu Lukaku for half that amount.
Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is fully behind Koeman, but he and others are at the top are far from impressed with the start that has been made by the Dutchman.
Everton have won just one of their opening five league games – not the start many had anticipated, and Koeman has been told results need to improve, and quick.
They play Bournemouth this weekend and defeat at Goodison Park will see the pressure turned up another notch.
Koeman has now been made favourite to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job.
Koeman was a long as 8/1 last week, but he is now 15/8 favourite to be next out.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We’ve already had one managerial casualty this season, and Koeman could soon become the second if this horrible run continues.”
