Bookmakers believe that Lionel Messi will out-score Cristiano Ronaldo this season.
Portuguese superstar Ronaldo has left Real Madrid to join Juventus, meaning the two will be playing in different leagues for the first time since 2009.
Ronaldo is Evens to score at least 30 Serie A goals and 5/1 to bag 35 or more this season with bet365 quoting 4/6 about the Portuguese machine finishing top of the scoring charts in his first campaign in Italy.
Ronaldo is also 11/4 to score more league goals than Messi over the 38-game period, but the Argentine is 1/4.
bet365’s Steve Freeth said: “A goal tally of 29 has landed the Capocannoniere in the last two seasons and it would be just like Ronaldo to turn up and dominate the top goalscorer market.”
The ‘Old Lady’ have been backed from 16/1 into 6/1 to win the 2018/19 Champions League and the Turin outfit are 20/1 to win the treble.
“After some near misses, punters seem to think that Ronaldo is the final piece in the Juventus Champions League jigsaw.” added Freeth.
