The odds on Cristiano Ronaldo and William rejoining Jose Mourinho have been slashed after a flurry of bets on both.

Both players are unsettled at Real Madrid and Chelsea, respectively, and Mourinho has never hidden his admiration for the pair.

Mourinho managed both during his time with Real and Chelsea, and both are said to be keen on a reunion.

And the Bookmakers certainly believe it is on the cards.

Priced at 7/2 before the weekend, bookmakers Paddy Power have now slashed the odds on Ronaldo to 11/5.

Spokesman Paddy Power said: “There are a couple of certainties in life. Death, taxes, and Ronaldo being linked with a return to Man United.

“But our punters have wagered big amounts that this summer it will finally happen, and at this rate, they could have the World Cup’s top goalscorer on their hands.”

And Willian is now as short as 6/4, and United are now regarded as favourites to land him.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Mourinho is no stranger to a Chelsea reunion at Old Trafford and the latest odds suggest Willian will be the next name to team up with the Portuguese boss again.”
