A host of Bookmakers have slashed the odds on Wayne Rooney moving back to Everton this summer.

Last month TheGamblingTimes.com revealed that Rooney was still waiting on an offer from Everton – and that remains the case.

It was being suggested he was considering other options, but now Bookmakers have reacted with a number of bets being placed across the industry.

Ladbrokes are now as short as 1/5 – the lowest mark they have ever been on Rooney to return to Everton having been 9/4 not long ago.

Richard Marsh of Ladbrokes News said: “Punters have been piling in on a Rooney reunion at Goodison Park this summer. The odds have never been shorter and our traders will soon be closing the book if they continue to tumble.”
