Ruby Walsh wants to continue working with Willie Mullins after he confirmed his retirement earlier this week.
The 12-time champion – who had over 2,500 winners in his career – signed off his glittering career with a win in the Punchestown Gold Cup on Kempboy.
Speaking on Racing TV, Walsh confirmed his aim to remain directly involved at Mullins’s yard.
“I hope to have a role there,” he said.
“It’s been part of my life since I left school. I’d like to stay fit – I don’t plan on getting too heavy – so yes, of course, I’d like to have a role there.
“We’ll have a chat about it, and see how it works out for everyone.”
