Rugby World Cup – Day Eight Preview

After a rest day on Friday, the Rugby World Cup returns to our screens on Saturday morning, with another weekend full of action, with five games across the two days.

Home nations Ireland and Wales feature among the action, while Australia and South Africa also take their second run-outs, alongside hosts Japan.

Argentina v Tonga
Hanazono Rugby Stadium – Pool C

In England’s Pool, Argentina will seek to revitalise their campaign when they face up against Tonga on Saturday.

Los Pumas were narrowly defeated in their opening encounter, a thrilling affair, in which France got the better of them – while Tonga also started out with defeat to England.

The physicality shown by Tonga against England will provide a robust test for Argentina, who could find themselves bullied out of the clash with a lack of heavyweights in their squad.

The Cherry Blossoms thrilled their home crowds on the opening Friday, but Ireland pose a whole new level of challenge and will be after another bonus-point win take another large stride toward the quarter-finals.
