Calling all England fans, it is a Saturday morning worthy of a cooked breakfast and good coffee in hand as things start to hot up for Eddie Jones’ men in Pool C, while Australia and hosts Japan are also in action.
The day starts bright and early with the Wallabies kicking off yet another Super Saturday at 06:15am UK-time, before England face their toughest test yet in Argentina, before home side Japan welcome Samoa to Toyota in the final fixture of the day.
Australia v Uruguay
Oita Stadium – Pool D
After defeat to Wales last weekend and Fiji’s triumph over Georgia on Thursday, Wales enter their third clash of the Rugby World Cup in third place, but rock-bottom Uruguay present little threat.
Wales top Pool D, but a bonus-point win for Michael Cheika’s Australia on Saturday will see them regain a two-point advantage at the head of the group, with Wales and Fiji set to do battle on Wednesday.
Uruguay claimed a shock victory over Fiji in Round One, but there is no way you can see the Wallabies passing up the opportunity to bounce back to the top of Pool D.

England v Argentina
Tokyo Stadium – Pool C
Pool C leaders England will aim to extend their perfect start to the Rugby World Cup on Saturday as they take on an Argentina side with one win and one defeat to their name.
Jones’ England have won both of their opening matches with a bonus-point on each occasion, but Los Pumas provide the first significant challenge to their campaign momentum.
After defeat in their opener to France, Argentina bounced back with victory over Tonga, but their winless Rugby Championship performance this season leaves little hope for them in terms of form against top tier nations.

Japan v Samoa
City of Toyota Stadium – Pool A
Tournament hosts Japan will aim to keep their hopes of a Rugby World Cup quarter-final on home soil alive with victory over Samoa on Saturday.
In possibly the competition’s biggest surprise to date, the Cherry Blossoms overcame Ireland to take command of Pool A and could return to a third-point lead at the summit with a bonus-point win over Samoa this weekend.
Samoa defeated Russia in their opening fixture, but failed to score in a 34-0 reverse to Scotland in the week, leaving the hosts overwhelming favourites to clinch victory and regain control of Pool A.
Prediction: Japan win by 21 points.
