Rugby World Cup Preview – Day 15

Another bumper weekend of Rugby World Cup action rounds up on Sunday morning with reigning champions and favourites New Zealand back in action, while France and Tonga lock horns in England’s pool.

Undefeated so far in the competition, the All Blacks will continue to build their momentum towards title defence, while England will be keeping a keen eye on Kumanoto to see if Les Bleus can claim a third win from three matches.

New Zealand v Namibia
Tokyo Stadium – Pool B

After posting 63 points on Canada on Wednesday without conceding a try, New Zealand are presented with yet another opportunity to race home the tries against Namibia.

Canada’s competition to date has seen two defeats and now has a 104 point deficit on points difference, but could feasible be doubled this weekend.

The All Blacks will rotate their squad and score tries aplenty, could they break a century? It may be worth a punt.

New Zealand win by 85 points

France v Tonga
Kumanoto Stadium – Pool C

France are hot on the heels of England in Pool C with two wins from their opening fixtures, while Tonga are yet to claim a single point in the Rugby World Cup.

The question of consistency is always levelled against France in the Six Nations, but traditionally they have played strong tournament rugby on the world stage.

Tonga have been thoroughly disappointing to date and should not pose a threat to France, but can Les Bleus pick up an all-important bonus-point to keep their pressure building before a final Pool stage match against England next weekend.
