Robin van Persie could be set for a sensational return to England with a number of clubs asking about his availability.
The Premier League legend previously starred for both Arsenal and Manchester United during a decade long stay in England, bagging double figures in seven of those seasons.
He moved to Turkey with Fenerbahce in 2015 and has claimed 25 goals in his two seasons, but now he could be set for a move back to England.
Frank de Boer is a huge fan and would happily take him, whilst I understand West Ham United, Everton and Watford have also shown an interest.
Van Persie still has one-year left on his current deal and much would depend on Fener’s willingness to allow him to leave, but they are believed to be open to the prospect of letting him leave.
We spoke to Ladbrokes about the van Persie market and they clearly feel he could head back to England and is Evens to join a Premier League club.
Ladbrokes’ Richard Marsh told us: “He’s 33, but RvP can still cut it in the Premier League and would be an ideal successor if Benteke heads elsewhere.”
