Sack Race Update – Koeman odds-on to go

Ronald Koeman’s odds to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job have been cut to odds-on following Everton’s loss at the weekend.

Everton have been struggling for form all season and Koeman has been the favourite to go since compatriot Frank De Boer was axed by Crystal Palace after just four games of the season.

“I’m too long in this job to lose my confidence, but yes, I’m worried about the situation and how we can turn it around,” said Koeman.

“I have the confidence to be the same manager as I was for the past six or seven years, to be successful.”

Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has backed Koeman, but Bookmakers and Punters alike are not convinced he will be around for too much longer.

We hear from BetVictor’s head of antepost Football Michael Triffitt about the market around Koeman and Everton.

“With more pressure mounting on under fire Everton gaffer Ronald Koeman after yesterday’s 1-0 home loss to Burnley, the Dutchman is now 2/5 from 11/4 to be the next Premier League manager to leave,” he said.

BetVictor also have the market running on who is next man in to replace Koeman and former Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti is early favourite.
