Salah backed for Premier League record

Liverpool sensation Mo Salah is now odds-on to land the Premier League Golden Boot, whilst the Bookmakers also believe he could be ready to break the season record.

Salah had gone a couple of games without scoring, but he was back on the scoresheet in devastating fashion as he claimed four goals against Watford on Saturday.

Salah is now on 28 overall, four ahead of current Golden Boot holder Harry Kane – who is sidelined for at least three weeks with an ankle problem – meaning he is highly unlikely to be able to get back on level terms with the Egyptian.

As such Salah is 1/10 with BoyleSports to land the Golden Boot, becoming the first Liverpool player since Luis Suarez in 2014, but Bookmakers feel he could easily break the all-time record of 34 held by Alan Shearer and Andy Cole and he has been cut to 9/4 to do just that.

Lawrence Lyons, Spokesperson for BoyleSports commented: “Mo Salah’s performances continue to catch the eye and the goal frenzy against Watford means the Premier League record of Alan Shearer and Andy Cole is now within his reach.

“Salah has seven games left to get the seven goals he needs to smash the record and the cut from 10/1 into 9/4 is testament to how hot his form is right now.”
