Sanchez to decide future in the summer

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has insisted he will not decide his future until the summer when he talks with Arsene Wenger.

The Chilean star has just over 12-months left on his current contract and he has so far been unable to agree terms, but the bookmakers currently think he will be with Arsenal next season.

Sanchez says he will wait until after the FA Cup final to discuss his options.

“We’ve said that the two of us will sit down together to discuss the topic in terms of what will happen and what we’re going to do, what’s best for the club, what’s best for me, what’s best for him,” he told Sky Sports.

“We’ll speak once the season is over because if I speak now, that would take my focus away from what I want, which is qualifying for the Champions League and winning the FA Cup.”

Sanchez admits he has cut a frustrated figure at times this season.

“Sometimes I am frustrated, sometimes I’m not. There have been games when we’ve been in a position to kick on and win, but we’ve made a small mistake and found ourselves 2-0 down. Sometimes that gets to me because winning those points is so important if you want to win the Premier League.”

Sanchez is currently rated as 6/4 to still be with Arsenal next season – you can get 2/1 on him to join Manchester City and 5/1 to go with Chelsea.

Juventus are rated at 16/1 and I understand the Italian champions and soon to be Champions League finalists, are very much keen on landing Sanchez.

I have been told from sources in Italy that they will make a move for him this summer, and if Arsenal do not want to sell – they will return in January and try and agree a pre-contract as soon as possible.
