Sanchez odds cut further as City confidence grows

Manchester City are growing increasingly confident of landing Alexis Sanchez, and Bookmakers are reacting.

City have been locked in talks with Arsenal this week to try and have now made a second bid of around £55million.

The Gunners have shunned a £50million offer and City have rejected the option of including a player with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Fabion Delph discussed.

We revealed earlier in the week that City were ready to pay a club record fee, and it seems Arsenal are willing to deal for around £60million.

City sources now believe that the Chilean will be on his way to The Etihad before close of play on Thursday.

Bookmakers across the board are cutting the odds on Sanchez. Coral now make him 1/2 having been 4/1.

“The number of bets and amount of money staked on Sanchez’s future suggest the Chilean is going to sign for Manchester City before this summer transfer window slams shut,” said Coral’s John Hill.

Arsenal are understood to be looking at rekindling their interest in Thomas Lemar – but time is running out.
