Saturday Premier League Preview

An action packed Saturday sees eight games with the highlight being second placed Manchester United’s trip to old rivals Arsenal.

In what is a mouthwatering clash, Arsenal – off the back of three league wins – entertain United, also coming into the game off three successive wins.

With leaders Manchester City not playing until Sunday, United again have the chance to close the gap at the top to five points.

Defending champions Chelsea are hoping to keep up the pressure on the top-two with and they get the chance to go first as they kick-off the weekend by hosting out-of-form Newcastle at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool could climb into the top-four this weekend, as they travel to tenth placed Brighton looking for the win.

Sixth placed Burnley are looking to continue their wonderful run of form as they travel to Leicester.

Tottenham have gone without a win for three games, and defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road would see The Hornets go level with Spurs.

There is a genuine six-pointer at The Hawthorns as Roy Hodgson takes his bottom-of-the-table Crystal Palace to his former club West Brom, fourth from bottom, who have Alan Pardew in charge for the first time.

Another new manager is Sam Allardyce, who takes charge of Everton for the first-time

Second bottom Swansea travel to Stoke City – who themselves could be in the bottom three by the end of the weekend if they lose.

See below for a preview on each game, including predictions from former England, Crystal Palace and Tottenham midfielder Andy Gray, super agent and former Manchester City ace Barry Silkman, our own Football Insider Graeme Bailey and bet365’s Steve Freeth.
