Sol Campbell has taken his first step on the managerial ladder after being named manager of League Two Macclesfield Town.
The former England, Arsenal and Tottenham defender has been trying to get into management for a long time, but he has finally been appointed with The Silkmen.
The 44-year-old has revealed he is ‘pleased’ to finally get onto the first step of the managerial ladder, and Bookmakers believe he could do well.
Leading bookmaker Coral now make Campbell just 4/1 to manage in the Premier League. He is 33/1 to be in charge of England one day.
“Sol Campbell has taken his first step into management at Macclesfield and as a result many punters have been backing the former Arsenal and Spurs defender to manage in the Premier League one day,” said Coral’s John Hill.
