Spurs to go unbeaten again – you bet!

Tottenham Hotspur ended their final season at White Hart Lane in superb fashion, beating Manchester United – meaning they went the whole campaign with defeat and bookmakers are offering odds on them doing it again next season.

It was the first time in 52 years that Spurs had managed such a feat and was a fitting end to their home, which will be knocked down to make way for their new 60,000 plus all-seater stadium, which should be ready in 18-months.

Harry Kane, who scored the winner and was the final Tottenham player to score in the stadium said: “That’s progression from last season and we have to keep it going now. We have to keep working harder, keep getting better and hopefully next season we’ll finish first.

“This has been a proper send off to what has been an amazing stadium for us. I couldn’t be happier.”

With the renovations taking place, Spurs will move in Wembley for next season, but many feel they will find it hard to achieve a similar feat and bookmakers are listing them at 16/1 to go unbeaten at home next season once again.

bet365’s Steve Freeth said: “The Spurs faithful have witnessed their side score plenty of goals, conceding not too many in the process, but Wembley will be their Premier League home next season – a place where they’ve won one of their last nine!”
