Spurs odds slashed as Conte admits they are better

Tottenham Hotspur’s title odds have been slashed after Chelsea’s defeat at Manchester United.

Antonio Conte’s side suffered a 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford – which meant they failed to restore their seven point lead at the top of the table.

Chelsea’s title odds are still very short but have been eased to 1/8 from 1/20 – whilst in form Spurs are now 9/2 to win the title from 8/1.

And Conte himself admits that as it stands Tottenham are the team to beat.

“It won’t be easy because Tottenham are now the best team. They are in good form and playing with enthusiasm – we must find the same,” he said.

“They are feeling the possibility to write history and it is important to know this.

“I have concern because we have to work together and quickly find the right ambition to win this title.

“If someone thinks it’s normal for Chelsea to win the title, they must remember we started as underdogs after 10th place last season.”

Bet Victor’s Head of ante post Football Michael Triffitt said: “Manchester United helped breath new life into the Premier League title race after beating leaders Chelsea 2-2 at Old Trafford.

“The Blues now hold a slender four point advantage over nearest rivals Tottenham and have eased to 1/8 from 1/20 pre match. Spurs have momentum and shorten to 9/2 from 8/1 with both clubs having six games remaining.”
