Spurs set up all English Champions League final

Tottenham Hotspur produced another Champions League comeback to match anything seen in history as they beat Ajax on away goals.

Like Liverpool did just 24 hours before them, Spurs came from three goals down to to win as a hat-trick from Lucas Moura, including a last-minute effort in Amsterdam, secured them a place in the final in Madrid next month.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino could not hold back his tears and said: “It’s for my family, it’s for them to, the people that support us in these moments, it is for them, so thank you, we need to.”

Spurs go into the final, due to be played at Atletico Madrid’s fantastic Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, as the outsiders at 6/4 with Liverpool odds-on to win at 1/2.

BetVictor’s Michael Triffitt commented: “After the dramatic scenes at Anfield last night there was even greater drama in Holland where Tottenham overcame a 2-0 half time deficit and a 3-0 aggregate reversal to clinch an unbelievable 3-2 victory. Tottenham are 6/4 from 8/1 to lift the trophy and now play 1/2 favourites Liverpool in Madrid on Saturday June 1st.”
