Super League Preview

Super League returns following the Challenge Cup weekend and leaders Castleford are looking to return to winning ways.

The Tigers, who are runaway leaders of the Super League, were knocked out of the cup by holders Hull, when many fancied them to lower the colours of the East Yorkshire side – but now they are focused on trying to win their first ever top-flight title.

Castleford have a big match this weekend as they travel to third placed Leeds.

Second placed Salford, who have made it into the last four of the Challenge Cup, are looking to continue their good form and they face a huge clash at local rivals St Helens.

Hull in fourth could move into second this weekend with victory, but they face a tough clash as they host fifth placed Wakefield at The KCOM Stadium.

The opening clash of the weekend on Thursday looks a brilliant bottom-of-the-table clash as basement side Widnes host Leigh, and whoever loses will be bottom come Friday morning.

Huddersfield moved above Wigan into 7th last week with victory over St Helens and they host the Warriors this week as they look to push on for a top-six spot.

Finally, the misfiring Warrington host Catalans Dragons in the final game of the weekend on Saturday.
