We preview the latest round of Super League action with title sponsors BetFred.
Leeds Rhinos vs St Helens
Match odds: Leeds 11/8, Saints 4/6, Tie 22/1
Betfred says: If ever there was an opportunity to stop the Saints it would be here, with the runaway leaders expected to rest a number of key players ahead of the Challenge Cup Final. Leeds have been in scintillating form the last twice, winning by 40pts or more – so they could well make it three from three and triumph by 4pts or so.
Wigan Warriors vs Warrington Wolves
Match odds: Wigan 3/10, Warrington 3/1, Tie 22/1
Betfred says: Just like Saints, Warrington will surely have one eye on their upcoming final so could well field a weakened team here. Even without that though, they’ve lost their last four league games while Wigan are rallying. They could well make home advantage count here and win by 10pts or more.
Catalans Dragons vs London Broncos
Match odds: Catalans 2/11, London 9/2, Tie 22/1
Betfred says: The Dragons were substandard last time out against Leeds when missing many key men due to suspension. There’s little reason why they shouldn’t bounce back here, and could win by more than 12pts.
Hull FC vs Salford Red Devils
Match odds: Hull FC 4/9, Salford 2/1, Tie 20/1
Betfred says: This is for sure the most fascinating contest of the round with both sides right there in the mix for a play-off spot. Hull FC will be hoping to nick 2nd from Warrington by the end of the season at this rate and, having won five of the last six matches between these two, can take the spoils by a narrow margin of about 6pts.
Hull KR vs Wakefield Trinity
Match odds: Hull KR 8/11, Wakefield 5/4, Tie 18/1
Betfred says: We go right down to the bottom end of the table for this one and what another fascinating affair we have. Both sides are battling to avoid relegation and currently sit on the same number of points. In a very tough game to predict it may pay to side with home advantage that could see Hull KR triumph by 4pts or more.
Huddersfield Giants vs Castleford Tigers
Match odds: Huddersfield 6/4, Castleford 8/13, Tie 20/1
Betfred says: The final game of the round could be critical in how both sides finish their respective Betfred Super League seasons. Castleford started the season well but have gradually slipped down the places and now have a fight on to make the play-offs, while the Giants are in the thick of a relegation scrap. The Tigers can get back on track here, with a convincing 10pts or more win.
