We preview the latest Super League action with title sponsor Betfred.
Castleford Tigers vs Hull FC
Match odds: Castleford 8/11, Hull FC 5/4, Tie 22/1
Betfred says: The opening game of the round and surely the most important with both sides well amongst the play off places. This promises to be uber-competitive and it could be settled by very fine margins with Hull backed to win by 4 or more points.
Leeds Rhinos vs Salford Red Devils
Match odds: Leeds 5/4, Salford 8/11, Tie 25/1
Betfred says: Salford are the in-form team of the entire competition having claimed their sixth win in a row when beating Challenge Cup winners Warrington last week. It’s hard to back against that form at this stage and they could make it seven here and triumph by 6 points.
Wigan Warriors vs Catalans Dragons
Match odds: Wigan 1/9, Catalans 13/2, Tie 33/1
Betfred says: Another form team is Wigan, who just like last year when they claimed the Super League trophy are finishing very strong indeed. Catalans on the other hands have looked like going the other way and are all but out of the play-offs by now. Expect that to be finalised here, and Wigan to win by at least 16 points.
Warrington Wolves vs Wakefield Trinity
Match odds: Warrington 2/9, Wakefield 4/1, Tie 22/1
Betfred says: Despite claiming the Challenge Cup against all odds the other week, the Wolves are now six Betfred Super League games without a win and there’s just two games to secure their play-off spot. They’re at home here against one of the league’s lowly clubs here though and that should represent a great chance to bounce back – and they could do so in comfortable fashion by 14 points or more.
Hull KR vs London Broncos
Match odds: Hull KR 2/5, London 9/4, Tie 25/1
Betfred says: London must win this if they’re to have any chance of keeping their Betfred Super League status. It’s not beyond their abilities, mind, but Hull just had a great win in France beating Catalans by nearly 20 points and they can win this by about 10 points.
St Helens vs Huddersfield Giants
Match odds: Saints 1/7, Huddersfield 11/2, Tie 33/1
Betfred says: The Giants claimed a great win last week but Saints will be looking to gain some momentum going into the play-offs and they can put in a solid showing here and win by 20 points.
