Super League Preview with Betfred

We preview the latest round of Super League action including leaders St Helens travelling to second place Warrington.

Warrington Wolves vs St Helens

Match odds: Warrington 3/1, Saints 3/10, Tie 22/1

Betfred says: Saints retained the League Leaders’ Shield last week and the Challenge Cup Final is just over two weeks away – so there’s every chance Justin Holbrook will some of his key men with that in mind. Warrington’s position is far from secure given their recent form so they’re unlikely to take it too easy, meaning at the prices it could be well worth backing a Wolves win by about 6pts.

Leeds Rhinos vs Catalans Dragons

Match odds: Leeds 2/9, Catalans 4/1, Tie 22/1

Betfred says: The odds would read much different if the Dragons were at full strength here but after last week’s controversies they’re without five players due to suspension. They’ve also lost four of their last five competitive away matches and Leeds have hit a much-needed run of form as of late so they can move another step away from relegation trouble with a win here by 10pts.

Wigan Warriors vs Hull Kingston Rovers

Match odds: Wigan 1/6, Hull KR 5/1, Tie 25/1

Betfred says: This fixture holds great importance for both sides who are battling at different ends of the table. Hull KR have been the epitome of inconsistency throughout the season while Wigan started slowly but have now very much found their feet – a lot like last year when they went on to win the Grand Final. The Warriors have won their last 10 home league games against The Robins and should make it 11 here by a comfortable 12pts.

Castleford Tigers vs London Broncos

Match odds: Castleford 1/7, London 5/1, Tie 25/1

Betfred says: After a very bright start to the season, Castleford are now hanging by a thread when it comes to their play-off hopes. They host bottom-club London here, who have struggled back in the top-flight, and should be able to bounce back with a win by 12pts.

Salford Red Devils vs Huddersfield Giants

Match odds: Salford 4/11, Huddersfield 9/4, Tie 25/1

Betfred says: Salford are on a bit of a roll after beating Warrington, Catalans and London in successive weeks – and doing it quite impressively. They did however get beat to their opponents this week, Huddersfield, the week before but the Giants were thumped 44-0 last time out and the Devils should have enough to win by at least 8pts.

Wakefield Trinity vs Hull FC

Match odds: Wakefield 13/8, Hull FC 8/15, Tie 22/1

Betfred says: Staggeringly, Wakefield have lost 10 of their last 11 competitive games and they face a Hull FC side here who are bidding to be ‘best of the rest’ and secure a spot in this year’s play-offs. It’s hard to say with any confidence that Trinity can bounce back here so expect a Black and Whites win by about 14pts.
