Swansea considering Clement options

Swansea City are understood to be considering replacing head coach Paul Clement.

The Swans dropped to the bottom-of-the-table at the weekend after losing at Stoke City at the weekend.

The club’s American-based owners Steven Kaplan and Jason Levien, and chairman Huw Jenkins are all backing Clement, but the fact the club have only won two games and we are in December is hugely worrying.

Now I have been told the club are considering other options, in case they opt to move on from Clement.

Bookmakers believe Swansea are ready to pull the plug and have Clement firmly in the lead in the ‘Sack Race’.

Coral make him 1/2, that is a 66% probability that it will happen. He is followed in the betting by Stoke’s Mark Hughes and Mauricio Pellegrino of Southampton.

“The betting suggests Paul Clement is under the most pressure to keep his job in the Premier League and avoid becoming the sixth manager to leave their post so far in the 2017/18 campaign,” said Coral’s John Hill.
