Republic of Ireland and Wales played out a relatively dull 0-0 draw in Dublin in their World Cup qualifier.
The biggest talking point of the match at the Aviva Stadium came with 20-minutes left when Neil Taylor was red-carded for a poor challenge on Everton’s Seamus Coleman – which saw him suffer a broken leg.

Wales had their moments and went close through Gareth Bale late on. Bale was also booked which means he will miss their next match – which is a crucial qualifier with Serbia.
Serbia are now top of Group D following their win in Georgia earlier in the evening. Ireland are level on points with the Serbs, whilst Wales in third are four points adrift.
After the result Wales were made 3/1 to top the group by BetVictor with Ireland sitting at 9/4.
