Bookmakers are starting to bring Thistlecrack back into the betting for the Gold Cup and have installed him as favourite once again.

This comes after his trainer Colin Tizzard confirmed they would be scanning his tendon problem again on Tuesday, after he revealed that they wanted to check him again.

Speculation is now rife that the King George winner could yet be on his way to the festival’s blue riband event next month.

Such has been the clamour for news on Tizzard’s superstar, the bets are again being taken on him and hie is now co-favourite once again alongside his two stablemates Native River and Cue Card.

Speaking to TheGamblingTimes.com – SkyBet’s Dale Tempest insists that it is a no brainer to let people back Thistlecrack again.

“We will now have to see what happens this week.”
