The odds on Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel becoming next Arsenal boss have shortened following reports that he had been approached by the Premier League giants.

Highly-respected German newspaper Bild claims that Tuchel has been the subject of an approach from someone from Arsenal – but the Gunners have been quick to deny this.

Arsenal sources have stated that this is ‘not true’ and indeed Wenger is yet to announce his intentions for next season, which could very well see him remain at The Emirates – as he does have an offer on the table from the board.

Wenger confirmed at the weekend – following their 3-1 loss at West Bromwich Albion – that he had made his decision on what he was doing next season, with reports suggesting he is set to stay.

Arsenal’s board have offered him a new deal, and the Gunners faithful are split on the future of their boss – who has been with them for more than 20-years.

They are now looking likely to finish outside the top-four for the first time under Wenger and everyone is now waiting to hear from the Frenchman about his future.

The Arsenal board are looking at other options, with Thierry Henry the preferred choice of board member Josh Kroenke, whilst Tuchel’s name has also clearly been mentioned – but keeping Wenger remains the most likely scenario at present.

“Tuchel is now the 9/2 second favourite but to be honest we’ve been speculating about the next Arsenal manager for several years,” Tempest told TheGamblingTimes.com.

“Until Wenger makes his plans known any market movers are pretty much ignored.”
