Manchester United’s odds on a top-four finish are as big as they have ever been, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side continue to struggle.

United sit in ninth, eight points off fourth place after dropping more points at Old Trafford, following a 2-2 with Aston Villa.

But the Norwegian insists that he is not worried but their league position.

“I wouldn’t have sat here and talked about us being fifth if we had got that one goal extra, so the league table at this point is not the biggest concern because it is so tight,” Solskjaer said.

“I just need to make sure that we get performances and get three or four performances after each other – and results.

“So far we have had the lead in so many games and we haven’t been able to win those games, six or seven times we’ve been 1-0 up, or 2-1, or 3-2 like last week.

“We should be better at seeing those games into wins.”

United were already facing odds of 5/1 to haul themselves back into the top four before the weekend, but those chances are now at a remote 7/1 with BoyleSports following their tenth game from 14 this season without a win.

Leicester meanwhile snatched all three points at home to Everton with a last gasp winner and are into 16/1 from 25/1 to win the league behind favourites Liverpool, who went from 2/5 to 2/7 after their victory over Brighton.

Liverpool are runaway favourites for the title now but interestingly Leicester are attracting more support than Man City from those customers expecting a slip up.”
