Manchester United are hopeful they will finalise a deal for Harry Maguire in the coming days.

Leicester City have stood firm over their valuation of Maguire – insisting that they want a fee in excess of the £75million world record fee Southampton paid for Virgil van Dijk in 2018.

Sources understand that United have agreed to a deal worth £80million for Maguire, but the finer details are just being worked on.

Indeed it is believed the player is ready to take his medical ahead of sealing the deal.
