Aston Villa are now odds on to land former Chelsea and England captain John Terry.
Reports claim that Terry is keen to link-up with manager Steve Bruce after the two held talks earlier this month whilst on holiday.
Premier League Bournemouth have been leading the chase, whilst West Brom, Watford and Brighton have also been linked along with a number of clubs abroad in America, the Middle East and Far East.
Villa’s arch-rivals Birmingham City – managed by Harry Redknapp – are also keen to try and land him too, but reports claim he is seriously considering a move to Villa Park.
We spoke with BetVctor’s Head of antepost Footnall Michael Triffitt about how the odds have changed with Terry in recent weeks.
“John Terry’s future remains no clearer with a number of clubs in talks and many claiming to have offered the former Chelsea and England defender a deal,” he told us.
“However Aston Villa, who have been well backed throughout the race for his signature, appear in the driving seat and are presently now just 2/5 after opening at 25/1 to lure him to the Midlands and to continue his career at Villa Park.”
